Is Bark & Sol Insured?
Yes! We expect the unexpected, accidents are always a possibility, and there will always be some things that are just out of our control. Therefore, insurance is an absolute must. We are also an LLC.
Are vaccinations required?
Recommended, not required. At owner's discretion. If your dog is an adult they likely have built an immunity up to most diseases. I do my best to keep vehicle clean and disinfected. If you have a puppy under one year it is highly encouraged to vaccinate your dog. Dog parents assume ALL risk and liability for their non-vaccinated dog.
Are dogs required to be have a Flea & Tick Treatment?
Yes! it is required that all dogs are regularly treated especially since we will be outdoors. Dogs can be sprayed with a home made natural solution before an excursion and quickly brushed after an excursion, but just as an added precaution, not as a guarantee of prevention.
Do I have to pack my dog snacks and water?
Snacks and water ARE included. However, if your dog is typically sensitive to certain treats or has any allergies. Please pack some for your dog. Otherwise your dog will not receive any. We typically try to go for natural beef liver, charlie bears, or America's Vet Dog treats. It just depends on what is available.
Will my Dog be with other dogs?
More than likely yes! If your dog is not comfortable around other dogs you can book a solo Dog walking service. We are still growing and only have a small vehicle therefore our pack size will not be above 5 dogs per booking.
Do I have to be home for the pickup and drop offs?
No. If your dog is safely secured in a yard and you give us permission to get the dog from your yard. However, if there is no yard or your dog is kept inside the home someone has to be there for pickups and drop offs! All of this will be communicated beforehand.
How do you communicate with us?
For now only through text messaging. The communication will be clear, but also kept to a minimum because driving, handling dogs and a phone can be difficult. You will be notified of your booking day before to confirm, when we are in route to pickup, and when on way to drop off. And photo updates, daily report of how well the dog did through out time with us. Those may be sent at end of day because of drop offs and other appointments that day.
What is the cancelation policy?
We do not allow cancellations, but we welcome rebooking. Please do not schedule a pickup unless you know that you can keep your booking. If you are unsure do not book.
Do you have to screen ALL dogs before allowing them to book?
Absolutely! Yes, even if you know your dog is a great dog and he listens to YOU very well, and he's never been aggressive toward other dogs, and you paid a very expensive trainer. A Pack Compatibility Intro. is non- negotiable. It is not just Bark & Sol's mission to give your dog a day they deserve, but also keep them safe. It is crucial to know as much as possible about the dog and see how well they respond and listen to me as their handler.
How does transportation work?
For now we are using my subcompact SUV. Dogs will have ac in vehicle. They will be secured with a harness that is secured to the metal of the seat.
Does my dog HAVE to be off leash?
No. Of course not. If your dog doesn't have good recall they WILL be kept on a long line leash if we are not in a fenced area. We can do some basic recall training 1on1 if this is a goal you have for your dog later on.
What forms of payment are accepted?
For now Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and cash are welcome and required before or on day of service. Details of payment will be discussed on Compatibility Intro Appointment.
